  • Third Friday

Every 3rd Friday, Downtown Ephrata's shops offer something special, just to celebrate the fact that it's Friday! Each month offers something different, including entertainment, refreshments, and special sales. Hook up with friends, enjoy a latte, chill will the sounds of an acoustic guitar, or just SHOP.

Nestled amid the rolling hills of agriculturally-rich northern Lancaster County, Downtown Ephrata is a quaint blend of old and new. Cars and buses share its wide, modern Main Street with the clopping hooves of the horse-drawn buggies of the area's Mennonite and Amish neighbors.

Rustic shops and cafes, many housed in buildings dating back 100 or more years, line a uniquely early 20th century streetscape of "brick" sidewalks and old-fashioned lamp poles. Benches dot the sidewalks to await the weary shopper or the visitor simply out to absorb the small-town atmosphere on a bright, spring day.

Located near the heart of Pennsylvania's Amish country, just 60 miles west of Philadelphia and 14 miles north of Lancaster, Ephrata is close enough to be accessible to the cities many shopping and cultural centers, airports and rail stations, yet far enough to maintain its homey, small-town flavor.

With open arms and a friendly smile, we invite you to visit our town, stroll our streets, and discover Ephrata.
